A working record, not a certified one

What you get here is a transcript to work from: who said what, at what point in the recording, in the words they used. It is not a certified or sworn transcript, and where a court or a regulator requires one, that remains the job of a qualified transcriber — no automatic tool changes it. What it does change is the afternoon spent scrubbing audio for the sentence you half remember.

How it works

Three steps to your first transcript

  1. Drop in your file

Audio or video of any length; the free plan transcribes the first 30 minutes of each file. MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, MOV and a dozen more.

  2. Pick the language

Leave the language on automatic or set it for better accuracy. Turn on speaker recognition if you need to know who said what.

  3. Read, edit, export

The transcript opens with clickable timestamps — read it and fix a name straight away. A free account keeps it and exports it as TXT; DOCX, PDF, SRT and VTT come with the unlimited plan.

FAQ

Questions before you upload

Transcribe a file

Can I file this with a court?

Treat it as a working record. Certification is a service a qualified transcriber provides and the requirements differ by jurisdiction, so check what yours asks for before relying on any automatic transcript.

Is client material confidential here?

Files are stored for your account alone and are never used to train models. Delete the file and the audio goes with it. Whether a particular conversation may be recorded is a question for your own professional rules.

Can I correct the wording?

Yes, in the editor, and every export reflects the corrected text. Click any line to hear that second again while you check it.

Working in another language?

All of this works in 62 languages. These are the ones asked for most, each with its own page.
