No sign-up needed — 1 free transcript a day. A free account gives you 3 a day and keeps them.

Getting the voice message out of Telegram

In Telegram Desktop, right-click the voice message and choose Save As — you get an .ogg file named like audio_2026-01-31_09-15-00.ogg. In the mobile app, open the message menu and save or share the file to your files. Upload it here as it is; Telegram’s format needs no conversion. Channels that post long voice updates become text you can search, quote and translate.

Or skip the upload: forward it to our Telegram bot

Forward the voice message to the WhoScribe Telegram bot and the text comes back in the same chat, saved in your account too. Included in Pro.

How it works

Three steps to your first transcript

  1. Drop in your file

Audio or video of any length; the free plan transcribes the first 15 minutes of each file. MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, MOV and a dozen more.

  2. Pick the language

Leave the language on automatic or set it for better accuracy. Turn on speaker recognition if you need to know who said what.

  3. Read, edit, export

The transcript opens with clickable timestamps — read it and fix a name straight away. A free account keeps it and exports it as TXT; DOCX, PDF, SRT and VTT come with the unlimited plan.

FAQ

Questions before you upload

Try it on this page

Does the .oga format work?

Yes. .oga and .ogg are the same kind of audio file with different names, and both upload directly.

Can I transcribe a voice message in a language I don’t speak?

Yes. Pick Detect automatically, and once the transcript is ready, translate it into your language. The original stays next to the translation.

Is there a limit on length?

Voice messages are almost always short enough for the free plan. For long recordings the current limits are listed on the pricing page.
