The free plan transcribes the first part of each file; the unlimited plan takes full-length recordings, which covers a lecture or a seminar in one go. The exact limits are on the pricing page.

Questions before you upload

Yes, there is a recorder built in, so a laptop or phone in the lecture theatre is enough. Files recorded elsewhere upload just as well.
Will it get technical terms right?
Common ones, usually. Unfamiliar names and field-specific jargon are where any model guesses. Fix them once in the editor and the correction carries into every export.
