A summary of five interviews persuades nobody; one sentence in a user’s own words persuades a room. Transcripts give you those sentences with a timestamp attached, so when someone asks whether users really said that, you play the line. They also make the sixth session searchable against the first five, which is where a pattern stops being an impression and starts being evidence.
