When Notta is the better choice

An honest list. If one of these is what you need, Notta may suit you better.

  • You already record your meetings in Notta and want the notes in the same place.
  • You need a feature WhoScribe does not have, such as a meeting bot, human transcription or video editing. Check Notta's own page for what it offers.

What WhoScribe offers

FAQ

Questions before you upload

Try it on this page

Do I need an account to try it?

Not for your first file of the day. Upload it and the transcript starts immediately. A free account adds 90 transcript minutes a month, keeps your files and lets you download them — come back later and everything you made is still there.

Can I bring my existing files over?

Yes, as media files. Upload the original audio or video and transcribe it here; there is no import step tied to any particular service.

Can I pay for one file instead of a subscription?

Yes. One payment unlocks the whole transcript of one recording, whatever its length up to 10 hours, with every export format. It is $5 in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU and other high-income countries and $3 in most others, and nothing renews. If you transcribe every week, the unlimited plan is the cheaper route.

Does it work with YouTube links and long recordings?

Yes. Paste a YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, SoundCloud or Google Drive link instead of uploading. The audio itself is transcribed, so a YouTube video with no captions still works, and one file can run up to 10 hours.

How does WhoScribe compare on accuracy?

Transcription runs on large speech models: Whisper large-v3 for most languages, and other models where they test better. A clear recording comes out close to word-perfect; heavy background noise, strong accents and overlapping speech cost accuracy on any service, ours included. The free tier exists so you can check with your own audio.
