Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser tab. Your file is never sent to us or to anyone else, which is also why it works with no account.
MKV to MP3 converter
Drop in a MKV file and get MP3 back. The conversion runs inside this tab, so the file never reaches a server.
- Your file never leaves your device
- Free, no watermark
- No sign-up

Why this runs in your browser
Sending a file to a server to convert it means trusting someone with it, waiting for the upload, then waiting for the download. Here the work happens on your own machine with a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg. Nothing is transmitted, so there is nothing for us to store, log or lose.
FAQ
Questions before you upload
Is there a file size limit?
There is no limit we impose, but the whole file is held in memory during conversion, so very large files can run out of it on phones and older machines.
